Our history
Since the opening of the first restaurant in Trowbridge, Tale of Spice has continually achieved the highest positions for its distinctive taste in dishes and the excellence in service it has been able to maintain.
Due to popular demand, Tale of Spice-2 was launched in 2001 in Westbury by the same family, maintaining the same quality of food and standards in service.
Our chefs have between then over thirty years of experience in preparing and serving award wining dishes from across the Indian sub-continent. Apart from the traditional favourites, our menu incorporate over 150 dishes including an ever growing range of exclusive vegetarian and meat choices. These include our Bhindi Bhaji (stir fried okra), Ostrich tikka (tender ostrich meat marinated and grilled in a Tandoori) and the Roopchanda special (grilled Asian fish).
As such, we are proud to announce that we have once again been voted Best vegetarian eatery, Best place for a date and Best take-away by the readers of Wiltshire Times, the town’s most popular news paper. More on awards and media coverage >>
